Looking forward to completing the 6 days of fasting.. :) such a wonderful feeling once it is achieved! :)
So, this one week break is not really break. Many things happen, to do list is getting longer each day, and constantly making a mental note. However, at the same i managed to almost finishing the long-draggy-thick-another post-colonial (thingy) novel- Rice Mother by Rani Manicka. i've been keeping that book for almost half a year now before i read it (by 'force'). i dreaded reading it for a couple of reasons and which i will not mention it here.

However, it is not that bad after all. A very descriptive story (that you can really imagine the scenes happening when the Japanese attacked the village and etc). Apart from that, the reader will be able to hear 'voices' from all of the characters mentioned in the story! Right from the great-grandmother to the great-grandchildren (plus the son and daughter in law)- a very interesting technique of writing i would say but towards the end it gets very tiring and i can't just wait to know the ending when one by one of the characters died! ~sigh-
i just can't wait to send the final draft of the proposal..but of course not on this book definitely. hehehe...
Another novel waiting to be read on the rack is The Lost Symbol! I think i would have to steal some time to read this book (talking about guilty pleasure ;P). Dan Brown this time is highlighting on Freemason (woooohooo an extremely interesting topic, issue) to read! :D
